CDT Code for Dental Emergency

Dental emergency which presents as an acute condition generally accompanied by pain in the tooth and surrounding tissues (due to infection or dental trauma causing fracture or other injuries in the mouth, etc.) which is no longer bearable or suddenly loss of a filling, crown, bridge, etc. although they are pain free, still have a great cosmetic concerns about the appearance of their teeth and demand an emergency treatment on the basis of perceived social disability.

D9110 is the dental procedure code used for Palliative care which is a treatment done to relieve pain or ease a problem without dealing with the underlying cause. This is reported for an emergency treatment of dental pain. This treatment does not involve an exam, evaluation or diagnostic x-rays.
