CDT Code for Dental Full Mouth Debridement

This dental procedure is suggested to patients who have not visited the dentist in a while. Full Mouth Debridement removes  plaque and tartar which interfere with the ability of the dentist to perform a comprehensive oral examination. Due to the amount of calculus, plaque and debris, a comprehensive examination and diagnosis is not possible.

The need for this procedure is considered to be infrequent and typically only recommended to patients who have not received dental care in many years.

D4355:  Full mouth debridement to enable a comprehensive oral evaluation and diagnosis on a subsequent visit. This is a preliminary procedure and does not rule out the need for additional procedures.
