CDT Code For Dental Removal Of Bony Spicule

Alveoplasty is a surgical procedure for recontouring the supporting bone. This is done to address significantly irregular bony areas.

D7310: Alveoloplasty in conjunction with extractions –four or more teeth or tooth spaces, per quadrant. It is used when bone recontouring is performed involving 4 or more teeth.

D7311: Alveoloplasty in conjunction with extractions –one to three teeth or tooth spaces, per quadrant.

The two codes used above are when the alveoloplasty is a distinct surgical procedure from other surgical extractions.

D7320: Alveoloplasty not in conjunction with extractions - four or more teeth or tooth spaces, per quadrant.

D7321: Alveoloplasty not in conjunction with extractions - one to three teeth or tooth spaces, per quadrant.
